Nigel Goodman

Managing Director

Nigel is the founder and Managing Director of Cavendish Brooke Ltd and has over 35 years’ experience within the financial services industry.  As well as running the business he is an active financial consultant, specialising in the care of high net worth individuals.

Nigel initially trained in accountancy but after realising that this was not his calling, he decided to move his career into the City where he spent several years working in commodities and bullion with companies such as Johnson Matthey. In 1981 he joined the financial services industry, originally working with a small brokerage before moving to Allied Dunbar in October 1985. After building a successful personal practice and becoming one of the top consultants within Allied Dunbar and the subsequent Zurich Advice Network, he formed Cavendish Brooke in 2004.  Nigel believes passionately in the core ethics of integrity, honesty and client care and his hands-on approach ensures that these principles are upheld throughout the company.

In addition to his business interests, Nigel firmly believes in giving back to society and enjoys working within the charitable sector.  He spent 11 years on the City Committee of the NSPCC and now chairs the fund-raising committee of the London Playing Fields Foundation, a position he has held since 2012.

Nigel lives with his wife and dogs in Farnham, Surrey and together they are avid rugby fans who are very involved with Saracens rugby club and hold debentures at Twickenham.  He has been a Spurs season ticket holder from the age of 13 and also makes time to play golf (badly!). Otherwise, he loves watching horse-racing and sampling good wines.
